Vermijo is undergoing a revitalization in 2019 to rebuild the raised beds, improve walkways and access for differently-abled gardeners, and to add a seating area for gardeners to enjoy. Plots sizes and arrangements vary slightly, but all contain raised beds.

Fire Station 21 Community Garden

Constructed in 2015 by local firefighters, volunteers students and families from Imagine Classical Academy nearby, the Fire Station 21 Community Garden is our garden on the east side of Colorado Springs. Firefighters at the station utilize a handful of plots, the rest are gardened by local community members. Each plot consists of three raised beds with nearby farm hydrants for watering. This community garden boasts one of the best views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range.
